Oludare Ebenezer OGUNYOMBO, PhD is an Associate Director at Brooks and Blake Nigeria Limited, a perception management outfit. He is also an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication at Caleb University Business School, Lagos. Ogunyombo leads B+B’s media, research and linkages unit, which is saddled, with engagement, monitoring and intelligence gathering at the national and international levels. He was trained in comprehensive sexuality education at Action Health Incorporated, Nigeria where he worked for eight years. Oludare worked as a development communication consultant with local and international organisations including the United Nations Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF), and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) while he also freelanced as a journalist with The Nation newspaper and Vision Africa magazine. His venture into development communication spans across planning and executing community development programmes, HIV/AIDS prevention and care programmes, drugs abuse prevention and care programmes, women and girl child development programmes and youth and adolescent development programmes across different states and communities in Nigeria. He has been involved in training and programmes supported by international organisations such as the MacArthur Foundation, USA, Nokia Finland, International Youth Foundation, USA, the Ford Foundation USA, European Centre for Electoral Support among others. Ogunyombo is a member of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals (ACSPN); the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and the Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON). He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) and the West African Association of Commonwealth Language and Literature Studies (WAACLALS). He has published several papers on communication studies and practices.
